"This is just like Earth, just not this serious!" Dusty commented.

"You must do this. It brings good luck for the new year! You write down one thing you will improve about yourself in the new year, share it with your friends, and then store it away for next year to check back and see if you did it!" Allura explained.

"And if you keep your promise?" her brother inquired.

"Your friends treat you your favorite food for a week!" Allura exclaimed.

"You mean I could have..." Dusty licked his lips. His eyes grew vacant "...CHEESE CONEYS?!"

"Sure can!" Hunk chimed in. "Last year, I kept my promise, and everyone else fixed me my favorite food!"

Lance chortled. "Yeah, we had to fix a full eleven-course dinner for him for a whole week! He couldn't decide which of Nanny's dishes he liked best, so he just said they were ALL his favorite!" Everyone groaned at the memory of doing dishes.

Dusty looked at his sister with a suspicious eye. "Something tells me a certain princess added that last part in!"

Just then, Sven stepped into the rec room with some envelopes. When he blew on them, he created a dust storm in the middle of the room.

"Vell," he said, "heere's de promises from de last year!"

Allura had a wry grin on her face. "Now let's see how everyone did..." she said mischievously.
